Meet LAUREN AYNSCOUGH: Yoga Teacher at This Is Yoga

What was your inspiration for becoming a yoga teacher?
I have always believed movement is medicine but found this particular movement practice to be life changing for both my physical and mental health. Overtime this practice has given me space to develop healthier awareness and understanding of self as well as allowing me to better show up in daily life. Having felt these impacts so deeply and wishing I had found yoga sooner in my life has inspired me to share these teachings.
Your favourite yoga pose if you have one?
Depending on my energy levels, either a big expansive pose such as Vasisthasana or Trikonasana or softening into any seated forward fold.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I love the creative process of stepping onto my mat and building an intelligently sequenced class that will not only leave my students feeling good but also gives them the best opportunity to move deeper and safely in their practice.
